No one is ever alone in their fight against cancer.

Having a strong support group can make the most difficult of times less frightening.  Pairing that support with your faith is one of the strongest treatments that will every be discovered.  Please allow the visitors of Protect the Package to join you in praying for you or your loved ones that are currently battling cancer or for those who have passed away.

It is my hope that once a month I will be able to publish your prayer requests here in the "Prayer Corner".  I am honored to be a part of your prayer corner along with all the other concerned and loving friends of Protect the Package.

Last Stand by John Lorenz

Let us pause and take a moment to pray,
for brave ones in battle for those who passed away.

How we miss you Ron, Gary, John and James.
What passion people, what powerful names.

They were drafted unknowing by given a choice
to surrender in silence or let God hear their voice.

We all walked down pathways unknown,
but when we see one print, we were never alone.

Amazing Lord, you've seen us fight
from the first sign of day, to the dark of night.
You carried our burdens and led us in dance.
Our promise to you, provided this chance.

It's a war for no reason, as we pray for an end;
for the soldiers are family or a very close friend.
We can shout out in anger or break down and cry.
Our protests fall silent, there's no answer for why.
No matter the outcome the ending holds tears,
of joy for the living or sorrow for lost years.

Our time here on earth was shorter than some,
but we will all laugh again in moments to come.

Amazing Lord, make sure they know,
we are the breeze in the summer and winter's first snow.
We watch and we cheer each step you take
and couldn't be prouder of the lives you make.

Rally the troops and call on your friends,
Hold tight to a stranger who fears for the end.
No cause can be greater as our heroes stand tall.
When we all come together our worries turn small.
They smile from the heavens as we honor their names,
by golfing in outing or playing wiffle ball games.

The trials, how they testing each ounce we could give,
but with you by our side, we will eternally live.

Amazing Lord, you've seen us fight
from the first sign of day, to the dark of night.
You carried our burdens and led us in dance.
Our promise to you, provided this chance.

Amazing Lord, make sure they know,
we are the breeze in the summer and winter's first snow.
We watch and we cheer each step you take
and couldn't be prouder of the lives you make.

We are finally home and the view is so grand,
Our faith is in you God...this is cancer's last stand.
